چکیده

Abstract With global warming and climate change, the world is experiencing a steady temperature rise. Hence need for effective efficient air conditioning, cooling refrigeration systems higher than ever. One of key elements influencing system performance working fluid. From 2022, new in UK must not use fluids with potential (GWP) above 150. Widely used R134a, GWP 1430, therefore being banned suitable replacement fluids, equivalent or similar thermodynamic performance, imminent. This paper looks into low refrigerant assesses their suitability to be utilised as historically R134a. Operation cycle based on R134a comprehensively compared selected different operating conditions. Low (R152a, R1234yf, R1234ze(E), R290, R600a) were carefully include broad range thermophysical properties cover several fluid categories. Compression work requirement, capacity overall are evaluated typical scenarios. We conclude that both R1234ze(E) R1234yf good alternatives. In particular, outperformed by requiring less compression achieving significantly COP same capacity.

Performance Analysis of a Double-effect Adsorption Refrigeration Cycle with a Silica Gel/Water Working Pair

A numerical investigation of the double-effect adsorption refrigeration cycle is examined in this manuscript. The proposed cycle is based on the cascading adsorption cycle, where condensation heat that is produced in the top cycle is utilized as the driving heat source for the bottom cycle. The results show that the double-effect cycle produces a higher coefficient of performance (COP) as compa...

Selection of the optimum prime mover and the working fluid in a regenerative organic rankine cycle

A regenerative organic Rankine cycle (RORC) is modeled and optimized for the use of waste heat recovery from a prime mover (PM). Three PMs including, a diesel engine, a gas engine, and a microturbine are selected in this study. Four refrigerants including isobutane, R123, R134a, and R245fa are selected. The nominal capacity of the PM, PM operating partial load, turbine inlet pressure, condenser...

Energetic and Exergetic Analysis of an Ejector-Expansion Refrigeration Cycle Using the Working Fluid R32

The performance characteristics of an ejector-expansion refrigeration cycle (EEC) using R32 have been investigated in comparison with that using R134a. The coefficient of performance (COP), the exergy destruction, the exergy efficiency and the suction nozzle pressure drop (SNPD) are discussed. The results show that the application of an ejector instead of a throttle valve in R32 cycle decreases...

Experimental investigation on the effect of phase change materils (PCM) in solar compression refrigeration cycle efficiency

Saving energy is one of the most important challenges of todaychr('39')s world. Reducing electrical energy consumption in compressed air systems is one of the essential requirements for designing these systems. When using domestic air conditioners (dual air conditioners) in very hot areas (Khuzestan) their performance decreases and electric current consumption increases. Therefore, the use of n...

THE EFFECT OF TYPE OF SPECIFIC HEATS RATIO OF WORKING FLUID ON THE THERMAL PERFORMANCE OF STANDARD OTTO CYCLE

In thermodynamic analysis of internal combustion engine, the specific heats of working fluid is considered to be constant. Due to specific heats are functions of operation temperature of cycle, this consideration cause to several errors in the thermal analysis. In this paper, standard Otto cycle with three various types of specific heats ratios has been analyzed numerically and effect of these ...
